On August 21, 1997, Thomas Aspery was assaulted in the area of West 97th Street and Denison Avenue. He was hospitalized following the assault.
On April 18, 1998, Thomas succumbed to his injuries.

On August 6, 2023, Kyle Jackson attended a gathering in the area of Knowles Street and Euclid Avenue in the City of East Cleveland. A group of individuals arrived and a large scale confrontation took place between numerous individuals. Multiple shots were fired and as a result, Kyle was struck and killed.
